Judas Priest has been through a lot over the years. Halford left the band after "Painkiller" and Ripper Owens stepped in to take on the lead singer role, then Rob came band only for K.K. Downing to retire in 2011. Richie Faulkner joined the band to replace Downing and just when JP was starting to recapture the magic Glen Tipton is diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2018. He is still in the band but has been replaced by Andy Sneap at the live shows. I understand for purists this is not Judas Priest anymore, but Faulkner is possessed by the spirit of the band and and it shines through when he performs. He has been outstanding on tour and the last two albums with Halford on lead vocals the Judas Priest signature sound is undeniable.
I have posted Judas Priest "Firepower" as our featured artist. If you like the old Priest, I think you're going to like this album.
