I guess I will go ahead and make the first post here. It is my board after all. Prior to the Covid-19 Pandemic I had quiet a concert run. I believe it may have been the largest number of concerts I have ever attended in a 24 month span. I went to see every show I could, and even managed to get front row for Judas Priest (twice), I even got picks from Tipton the first time and Faulkner the next. Managed front row for the Marillion "F.E.A.R." Tour, Last in Line, Alan Parson, Delain, Kamelot, Battle Beast, Iron Maidens and second row for Rain, Night Ranger, Foreigner, Toto, and floor seats or GA floor, for the Scorpions, Styx, Aussie Floyd and Brit Floyd, Dream Theater, Nightwish, George Lynch, Graham Bonnet, Michael Schenker, UFO, Neil Morse, Queensryche, Blue Oyster Cult, Greta Van Fleet, and I need to pull out the Tee Shirts from storage to recite them all. Here's the thing. It did not matter which show I went to, every single time someone other than myself was wearing a Rush Concert Tee. Imagine that. I am not the only one.

Rush touched on so many passions coming out of the 70's and continued to do so throughout their careers. For me there was just never enough Rush to keep me satisfied. After every new album I wanted more, and in the early years they were pumping out an album about every year. Those were some good times. Their music stirred something in me that was insatiable. After discovering Rush, I began to recognize the substance in bands like Queen, Yes, and Genesis I hadn't pick up on prior to seeing Rush live during the "Farewell To Kings" tour, and I had also become far more critical over other bands (Van Halen) than I probably should have been, or maybe not... There were only a select few bands in those early years that measured up to the Rush standard, but I managed to keep finding new music between Rush albums and it broadened my horizon.

Now that I reached the bucket list years, I have softened quite a bit and am not so critical. I just enjoy the fact that I am still here and can still listen to music with my one good ear. I miss Rush. I have been looking for their doppelganger my entire adult life and have yet to find them. There's a lot of great bands, but none as unique as what Geddy, Alex, and Neil accomplished as a band.
